Algoriddim, the developer of the popular djay application for Mac, has released djay for iPad today.

The app provides a virtual turntable interface that allows scratching and multiple controls as well as full access to the iPod music library stored on the iPad. It is optimized for iOS 4.2 with multitasking and background operation capabilities.

Algoriddim has created a promotional video highlighting the app’s capabilities.

The app’s features include:

- Live Recording (with built–in organizer for recorded performances)

The HDJ-1000 Limited comes in the gold you see above and an all black edition. Pioneer seems to have put some additional effort in adding more low-end response as well as providing a much more comfortable fit.

Release date on these are in December for $209.

Engineered by Sam Spiegel (Squeak E. Clean of Los Angeles, CA) and Ze Gonzales (DJ Zegon of Sao Paolo, Brazil), N.A.S.A. has assembled a supporting cast with the likes of: Santogold, RZA, Kanye West, Lykke Li, E-40, Z-Trip, MIA & Fatlip of The Pharcyde (just to name a few). The aesthetic of this line revisits the early years of computer expansion; also known as the 80′s. This fusion of urban & tech innovators def deserves some attention.
