trust us, you aint never seen anything like RRS. on stage with a 3 x 4 setup (thats 3 mixers and 4 turntables yall!! holla!!) they combine classic turntablist techniques with funk, uptempo, disco, boogie, and hiphop (of course) to create a completely new and unique style. trust when we say: you. can. not. miss. this.

these two have been innovating their way through the Bay’s Hip-Hop scene for quite sometime. its almost like’ “finally!” when we got the opportunity to get them on Listening Lounge. the first ever female DJ team to compete in the DMC in its entire 20 year lifespan. they have done much to keep the wheels of the Bay’s turntablist heritage moving and growing including their party Skratchpad which was an “open mic” for DJs to flex their chops and just build with each other. they created a true hub for the community. plus: they will be performing their 2 x 4 set at Listening Lounge.

J. Period teams up with an array of hip-hop’s finest to create The Abstract Best Volume One. A tribute to Tips latest and greatest work with exclusive remixes, interviews, and most of all the tribute tracks. The tribute tracks are the tracks that have been created by featured artists such as Kid Kudi, Skillz, Blu, De La Soul just to name a few.
Common has teamed up with the digital giants at Microsoft to produce a new line of threads called, “Softwear”. The aesthetic of this line revisits the early years of computer expansion; also known as the 80′s. This fusion of urban & tech innovators def deserves some attention. The implied double meaning of the name, “Softwear” is just plain ill.
